REASON

We choose this movie as our review film because this film contains comedy and action.
The movie has many unique aliens. It shows figure of alien trough video game characters in the new movie. It’s a variety of games the ‘80s. This film has resolution of good picture. The actors and actress of movie are cool.

SETTING

The movie has setting place in the UK on the military base, the Taj’mahal in India, New York in US. The setting time is in 1982 at the Arcade Championship the US, the setting is in Yigo Guam at 6.22 am, during the day in the Taj’mahal, during the day goes back and forth comedy genre and action and in the setting of a mixture (ancient and modern times). The times setting of an antagonist characters are Donkey Kong and the aliens while the protagonist is Sam Brenner, Will Cooper, Lady Lisa, Ludlow, Fire Blaster and Van Patten. Supporting cast is Matty Lintz.

ORIENTATION

One day, Brenner and Cooper ride their bikes and then they steal money from lemon seller to play game. Brenner is the best kid as the gamer. In the Arcade Game, Brenner and Cooper meet with Ludlow. Unlike the Brenner, the two friends are not great like Brenner in playing game. When Brenner is playing game, Cooper invites Brenner to play the Arcade Game. The Arcade Game is the prestigious of that time. It is followed by the great gamers in the world. He plays with Fire Blaster (Brenner’s rival) whose name is Edie in the competition. The Fire Blaster is a great gamer in Arcade Game; he defends as champion in the Arcade Game. When they become adults, only Cooper is a successful become president of America. Brenner becomes NARD, Service Electronic Company. Without the knowledge of Brenner, in the fact turns out that Mrs. Van Patten is Lieutenant Colonel of the President.

CONFLIC

0n 35 years ago, NASA has sent the video Arcade Game to space, but aliens think that this video game as an invitation for a war. In the beginning of the war, the aliens attack a military base of earth. After the attack, aliens attack the Hyde Park in England. Brenner and friends also help there. In the fierce battle, Brenner and friends win to fight against aliens.

After the attack of Hyde Park, the aliens begin to attack some other countries such as England and India. Because the hard resistance to attack aliens, Brenner and government ask for help of Fire Blaster. Then, the aliens strike to New York City; the aliens are named Pacman. Brenner, Ludlow, Fire Blaster and Professor Toru Iwatani (Pacman Maker) use the car that is designed of Professor Toru Iwatani to attack Pacman. When it starts against the Pacman, Professor tries to talk with Pacman. But the effort that he makes failed, because Pacman doesn’t want to listen to Professor and bite his hand.

RESOLUTION

Finally they won and they making victory party. Now, finally president liked by people because he has been defeated the aliens. But when Matty and Fire Blaster talking, Fire Blaster has admit that be used a cheat since he played game in tournament. Suddenly when they were have a party, aliens attacking back them. Because aliens knowing there someone have a cheat. The president was angry and a cussing Brenner has cheat. Brenner and friends were trying to defeat the aliens. To beat them, Brenner and friends was taken to the world game against their boss (Donkey Kong).They has begin desperate Donkey Kong. Finally they won and returned to earth while the aliens back to the planet.

POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SIDE

In our group opinion, the pixel movie is so interesting and the conflict is very thrilling. There are no violence scenes in this movie. It brings us into the game in 80’s. The resolution video is good the story easily understood. And in our group opinion, Negative scenes of pixel movie is the movie like for children, but there are adult scenes. No suitable for children because there are adult scene. Lack of suitable for watch if you don’t like or understand game of 80’s. Form aliens not showed in movie. The plot of this complicated and very brief.

CONCLUSION

Pixel is made in such a way that brings the past and present. The theme is game and battle between humans and aliens. Although having a theme the game, but this movie are not suitable for children, because there’s a little bit of the adult and violence. Have a graphic picture and set in various Countries making this film a more interesting.
